Merlin Predicts The Next Inventory Schedule |

ShowScvhedule.vbs Now that the registry provider is a standard part of Win2k and XP/.Net, it's a simple task to use a WMI based script to learn things from remote registries. This example reads the hardware and software inventory next schedule data from any nominated server. If you want to know when a particular box will be doing its inventory just fire off the script. The assumption is you are an administrator and have access to the target machines. Although it's possible to script for submitting names and passwords these scripts assume your current credentials are valid. SpeakSchedule.vbs This is just the same script only it makes Merlin the magician tell you out loud what the answer is. This is just an example of what Merlin can do (don't forget to turn your speakers on). Combine this with the Status Filter script logic (see Filter status messages to run any valid command (not just net send!) ) and Merlin will read the status messages to you when they arrive. Ok this will send you round the bend but it's good fun! The ‘Merlin’ character (merlin.acs) should by default, be installed in your %systemRoot%\msAgent\chars location.
Please accept these scripts as is. Any feedback will be gratefully accepted at Debug@huntland.co.uk
